The Brand Called You (New York, NY: McGraw-Hill, 2009)

I consider this book the ultimate authority on personal branding, and I would recommend it to any professional service provider going to business for themselves.  Like it or not, the concept of branding has expanded to individuals, and I suggest professionals learn the basics immediately (or face the possibility of being at a competitive disadvantage right out the gate).
