The Firm of the Future: A Guide for Accountants, Lawyers, and Other Professional Services (Hoboken, New Jersey: Wiley, 2003)

I have read this book a number of times over the last 2 – 3 years.  In my opinion, it is the most insightful book on the professional service industries evolution and future (primarily accounting & law).

After reading for the first time, I immediately became a believer in Baker’s outlook for the CPA profession’s future (specifically as it relates to the labor theory of value, the billable hour, bad customers driving out good ones, and the role of intellectual capital in a knowledge economy).

Paul and Ron know what they are talking about, and they can definitely enlighten your vision for the future.
